After I underwent brain tumor removal surgery in January 2004, I was left with paralysis on one side of my face. Over time this has been corrected to some degree, but for years, I have sought out the best in cosmetics and makeup artists to help me appear more symmetrical. I have met and undergone multiple surgeries with the best surgeons in Beverly Hills and here in Utah. There came a point in my life where I just wanted to not have to worry about what I look like without the correction makeup. That is when I started my quest to find out more about permanent cosmetics. I searched and had several consultations but was still not convinced. However, after I met with Shelly, my fears and doubts were put to rest. Not only were her procedures exceptional, Shelly was amazing. She has an outstanding eye for detail, and as someone who spends a lot of time noticing little details and flaws, I am convinced that Shelly is the ONLY person I would trust my face to. She spent time with me explaining the procedures and matching my colors, as I didn't want dramatic results. I only wanted a little color, and to gently correct the flaws I see. She made the procedures as painless as possible and was always available if I had an questions. Not knowing quite what to expect, I talked with her frequently in the first few days and she became a trusted friend. One week later I was in her chair again, for another procedure. Again, I was wonderfully pleased with the results! So the question remains: would I recommend her to family and friends? Absolutely, without hestitation.

For anyone considering permanent cosmetics for any reason, I would only trust Shelly. For the first time in years, I can look in the mirror and feel pretty.

Shelly Vaccaro Bohman is an excellent permanent make-up artist.
